My Love Affair with Bruges

In 2015, my mother, Margaret Olsen, asked if I'd be willing to illustrate a book she'd written about her beloved city, Bruges, Belgium. I immediately said yes, cherishing the thought of working together on a project. Never having drawn illustrations specifically for a book before, I knew it would be a challenge to create images that would work in a publication but at the same time align with my mother's vision. Her memoir, My Love Affair With Bruges, is the result of our first collaboration.
